I've been using this exact model stethoscope since 1991 and have loved it. For some reason, the one I just bought from you does not have as good acoustics as my last one. Not sure why. Does it require breaking in. I wonder if the angle of the scope is affecting things--I sometimes have to push it up over my KN 95 mask and that seems to help. I don't remember having to do this with my last double head harvey. The sounds is OK but just not as terrific as I remember unless i angle it a certain way and stand back so that the tubing is completely straight. it possible I got a lemon? any other thoughts about how to optimize it?
