Product Description
The second generation E-Scope® II model 718-7700 has just been released. It is intended for general clinical use, medical education, Telemedicine and paramedic use in ambulances and medical helicopters. It amplifies the heart, breath, bowel or korotkoff sounds without amplifying outside noise. The E-Scope® II has maximum amplitude or sound pressure level output of 120 dBa without distortion. Additionally, heart or lung sounds are amplified without appreciable amplification of room or background noise. This makes it much easier to hear a low, rumbling murmur or faint AI blows.

Good amplification, but uncomfortable
I have a moderate hearing loss, and the amplification in this stethoscope is certainly adequate. There is quite a bit of extraneous noise, however, and the earpiece is extremely tight and uncomfortable. Also, for my ears even the largest earpieces are too small.

Great for my hearing loss
I have a mid/high frequency hearing loss that has progressed to the point that I can no longer use a conventional stethoscope. I chose this model rather than the over-the-ear model because I was concerned about not getting amplification of low frequencies through my hearing aids and because I don't find it difficult to temporarily remove my BTE aids. The stethoscope performs beautifully and is easy to use. My only complaint is that the earpieces aren't quite right for my ear canals, but I can live with that.

Stethoscope for hearing impaired
I have begun to loose my hearing and taking blood pressures are part of my job as a nurse. This stethoscope has helped tremendously. I can turn the volume up and get more accurate readings now without using my hearing aides. It is a little heavier then the stethoscopes I generally use but I am amazed at the clarity of sounds of even listening to heart beat. Would recommend this especially if you are in medical field.

Excellent!
A few weeks into nursing school I was diagnosed with a hearing impairment. I couldn't hear squat through regular stethoscopes or cardiac stethoscopes. This did the trick, enabling me to hear vital sounds and thus stay in school! I'm so thankful this product exists.

Great stethoscope
Pros: As I have a profound hearing loss, this works great for me. I've used this in school, as well as the EMS service work with. It's a great product for those who are HOH. I can't say how it would work for those who do not need hearing assisted equiptment, but those who do can definitely benifit from this. I've also had no problems in an ambulance what so ever.

It does amplify, but id amplifies everything
Pros: The pediatric and adult bell are relatively easy to switch out, just screw one off and the other on.Cons: Amplifies ambient noise. Makes it difficult to auscultate body sounds if you are in a noisy environment. I see no possible way this could be used on a ambulance or busy emergency room. Head set is extremely tight, and if used regularly can start to get very uncomfortable for your ears. Unit automatically shuts off in a minute and a half which is a nice feature unless your in the middle of taking B/P and auscultating body sounds.

Cardionics E-Scope 11
Pros: I am very pleased with your product so far it is the best stethoscope that I had purchased. I purchased a Littmann Electronic Stethoscope Model 4100 and it was not as good as yours because I couldn't hear the lung sounds that good. With your product I could hear the hear, lung, and bowel sounds loud and clear. So I rated your prodyct 5 stars!!! The only thing I was disappionted in was the shipping. It took too long. Thanks Abbigail.
