Eko core electronic stethoscope
Having bought another brand electronic stethoscope in the past (that was unreliable), I was pleasantly surprised by this model. It’s noise free and easily attached to any single tube stethoscope. No batteries to fumble with and easy to recharge. Could be a little lighter weight.

decent augmentation of sound cumbersome app
attachment appears to work reasonably well though must be careful for movement of stethoscope as creates artifact (Can be difficult as pediatric Cardiologist). Wave foms in app are horrible and quite frankly useless. Sound of recorded heart sounds (reason I got the attachment) are mediocre at best and do not play back well. Would not buy again and would not advise as it is not good teaching tool nor allow good sound clips for lectures. Perhaps some of this is learning curve in using app on my part, we will need to see over time. Cost is fair for quality but since unique item expected it to be a little overpriced. Stethoscope.com fulfilled order promptly as promised and in fact there was a slight sale savings. I rate Stethoscope.com 5 stars from 3 purchases over the last couple of years.

Best of both worlds - analogue meets digital
Easily attaches to your own stethoscope (I use a Littmann Cardio III - Eko Core only works with single tubed stethoscopes) or can be purchased with a high quality stethoscope as part of the bundle. It is small and lightweight allowing it to be kept on your stethoscope at all times. It stays powered off 98% of the time and only needs charged 1-2 times per month. The Eko Core has noise reduction and sound amplification so it has helped tease out some grade 1/6 murmurs and I can alway send questionable recordings easily with the iPhone/iPad application to a colleague for a second opinion. Also is a handy tool for educators to save and share recordings to help learners learn the art of auscultation.

Seamless Integration
The beauty of the Eko Core is that it captures the heart sounds in a streamlined way that has never been done before, interfacing seamlessly into our traditional exam without requiring any extra effort.

A Remarkable Device
The Eko team has put together a remarkable device that brings cardiac auscultation to the digital age. The Eko Core attaches to your own stethoscope quickly and easily, and provides a simple, intuitive interface to record heart sounds. I've started using it in my daily practice and even incorporated it into my teaching sessions.
