The Welch Allyn Meditron Teaching Bundle features
the (1) Welch Allyn Meditron sensor based stethoscope,
(1) Meditron Sounds distributor and 5 headsets. This
is the ultimate teaching tool for clinical settings.
The instructor can auscultate the patient while up to
5 students listen in. Both the Meditron Sensor-based Stethoscope,
and the Meditron Distributor can be purchased separately.
The Welch Allyn meditron distributor is ideal for
bedside evaluation in a teaching setting: Up to 5
students may participate at the same time creating
an effective and efficient learning situation. The
teacher controls the auscultation process with his or
her stethoscope permitting others to completely focus on listening.
This proven technique, which is used by many physical
diagnosis professors, is achieved through the use of
the distributor.
Computer power and auscultation are combined
at last in the Meditron sensor-based Stethoscope. Its unique,
patented sensor technology dramatically enhances
sound clarity. The Meditron product line is the only
stethoscope system that has a special sound distributor
to aid in educational situations and group listening.
Its analyzer software accessory can store heart sounds
and recall them as sound-supported phonocardiography,
allowing the practitioner to compare the patient's condition and
progress over time.
New from Welch
Allyn the model 11810 PanOptic ophthalmoscopes with the available
lithium ion handle offers the best possible
viewing of the eye. The PanOptic ophthalmoscope
from Welch Allyn features a five times
larger view of the fundus than can be achieved with any standard ophthalmoscope
in an undilated eye. A 25-degree field-of-view is realized vs. the standard
5 degree field along with a 26% increase in magnification. Affordable
new head is compatible with all existing Welch Allyn 3.5V battery handles
and wall transformers.
Welch Allyn Meditron's analyzer
software represents a new, revolutionary tool
for auscultation. For the first time ever, sounds
can be recorded directly from the stethoscope
and onto a PC (where the sound is digitized) for
viewing. Listening and visualizing sounds simultaneously
may help the practitioner to make a more throughout
diagnosis. Difficult to hear sounds may be recorded
and then filtrated on the PC for better viewing and
analyzing. In addition, the ability to record sounds
and export them to others (telemedicine) provides
a truly unique, cost effective opportunity to solicit
additional opinions for difficult or rarely encountered
abnormalities (this provides a great opportunity
to save both time and money!). Furthermore, the ability
to store sounds into an integrated record allows the patients
condition to be easily monitored over time. |
