Pros: I was very pleased to receive my new scope in only 3 days. It was very nicely engraved so the next time I leave it, it should find it's way back to me....unless the person who finds it uses it and discovers how well it works. I wear hearing aides (BTE) and can use the scope with or without the aides. It's great to feel confident in my assessments again. I had a different brand for the last five years, and was unhappy about the ear section coming apart and eventually causing damage to the wires that are threaded all the way to the ear tips. That won't happen with this one.

Pros: I've barely used it because I've been subbing for our receptionist. It arrived (AK) earlier than expected and in apparently perfect condition. I read the book, inserted a battery and it appears to work, but again I've had no chance to use it taking blood pressures. I will start using it regularly in about 2 weeks. The man who handled my order was knowledgeable about ordering, helpful and very efficient. I appreciated that.

Pros: I have owned many electronic stethoscopes over the years and I would like to highly recommend the Littmann 3100 stethoscope. Reliable and rugged. Battery replacement (A-penlight) is cheap and easy (no specialty hard to find lithium batteries as Radio Shack). Profile and feel is like conventional Littmanns. Outstanding acoustics with earpieces that are comfortable and have a great fit/seal. Only initial glitch in production: rubber diaphragm became loose and popped off easily. A replacement was readily sent from the Littman dealer. Price is right for the quality!

Pros: I am a doctor and a lead guitarist in a local rock band. Have some early onset hearing loss due to standing right next to the onstage sound monitors for more than 10 yrs. This steth was quite a relief. Everything sounds clear now. I am able to hear the most distant and faint heart sounds. I do not have enough praises for this steth

Cons: 1. short tube 2. If you run out of battery this is just a dead paperweight 3. Active noise cancellation is just a sham. You don't hear outside sounds due to nice fitting ear buds but that's about it. 4. If you brush on body hair or clothes, the sound is just too amplified but that's expected. 5. Unless you have some sort of hearing loss, I advise obtaining the master cardiology 3 series which is as good as this one. First steth that arrived was defective. A quick call to customer support and they sent me a replacement right away with custom engraving. However, it was not sent by overnight (what I originally had paid for)

Pros: I can hear breath sounds without having my patients take a deep breath. I am still experimenting with the settings to find where I like it the best. It is easy to use and does amplify what I need to hear.

Cons: The stethoscope shuts off if I don't move it within 30 seconds which is annoying for listening to bowel sounds. I can sometimes hear conversations outside of my pts room while listening to my pt.

Pros: Great new stethescope. I thoroughly have enjoyed it, although I have only had it about 1 week. I am able to hear sounds much easier than before, even in rooms with lots of noise.

Cons: Took some time learning how to use the interface and getting adjusted to the volume controls. Sometimes it almost works too well at times. Overall very good product and worth the money.

Pros: This stethoscope is great. I have recently lost the hearing in one of my ears making my traditional Littmann difficult to use. The volume amplification on this model is wonderful. I can pick up sounds on exam that I couldn't even when my hearing was perfect. Noise reduction feature is great, and the display is beautiful. Battery life is strong.

Pros: This is a great product, one of my best purchases. There are many pros to start, the sound quality is great. Especially convient to list to those COPD pt's who's heart sound are distant. I have picked up many murmurs that where hard to listen. Its light weight, and easy to cary. It only takes one double AA batery that last a long time. There is battery indication which will let you know when to change it. AFter seeing mine, my colligues also want one!!! Engarving is available which gives it a personal touch. I absolutely love mine.

Pros: I went to littmann.com with the intent of having the tubing replaced on my Cardiology II but discovered the electronic 3100 model so I told my hubby I wanted one for Valentine's Day. It is by far the best stethoscope I have ever used! I was able to hear a murmur that my co-worker couldn't hear with her cardiologyIII. I refer to it as "The MACK DADDY". I work on a busy cardiac unit and have let others at work try it out and everyone loves it! I compared all the websites that offer this model and stethoscope.com was the best deal. It shipped quickly and came in a large box with plenty of cushioning. Thanks!

Cons: There is some sound interferance if listening through a gown and the pt moves, but overall is the best investment made to be more effective at my job.

Pros: I was having trouble hearing out of my stethoscope and since the reviews were great, I decided to order one. I have ringing in my right ear quite a bit and cannot hear blood pressure very easily. This stethoscope allows me to hear the sounds really well. I now feel more confident going to my internship. It shipped very quickly and the color is nice. I might get mine engraved later! BTW..the battery comes under the cushion in the box (had to search for it)!

Cons: The only downfall is that sometimes the scope goes off by itself when I'm trying to hear...might need to just change the settings.

Pros: It has become a cliche for us to say it is the most well spent $300 or $400 ever but in my heart of hearts this purchase stands at the top of my list of purchases for 2009.A seasoned health profesional, this steth enables you to hear all those faint or hard to hear sounds espiecially when patients have diseased lungs.A recommendation to all health professionals to have and in situations where the pulse of the patient is mandatory, this is the one steth to bail you out.

Cons: There is not a whole lot not to like about this steth but sometimes the pulse rate of the steth may not always correlate well with the patient if the patient has arrythymias.

Pros: That goes for my transaction with Stethoscope.com and the 3100. Firstly my telephone order with Noel was made very pleasant and trouble free. She was most helpful and is definitely an asset to you guys. As far as the 3100 goes, it does all its supposed to and then some. The clarity is unbelievable, and hard to hear sounds are made much easier to discern simply by amplifying them. The instrument head is beautifully finished off and is very classy looking. The heart rate function is also a very nice touch, and seems to work very well. I have not experienced any problems with the unit at all and am very satisfied with this purchase. Anybody undecided about spending the extra money on this scope - just do it. You will not regret it.

Cons: Not really a con - but because it is so clear and because it amplifies so well, any unwanted movement of the diaphragm over the skin or shortish hair does cause a lot of noise to come through. If you keep it still while listening - its brilliant.

Pros: Simple to use, the volume enhancement helps for people like me with perforated ear drums and slightly decreased hearing, particularly that elusive S4, and the sound quality is solid. Pros: I bought this as a wedding gift for my husband. I ordered it late but I paid extra for the shipping and they had it engraved peerfectly and out the door next day. They were wonderful to work with when I needed to change the engraving at last minute and overall just had awesome cutomer service. Pros: I chose this item because I wanted something I could tune into when background noise is elevated. I work in L&D and attend deliveries and sometimes the noise level is elevated and I wanted to differentiate the heart and lung sound in infants. I haven't been able to capture the automatic rate on tachycardic infants but it does well on mom's. Haven't had a really high adult rate yet. I will keep checking to see how high a rate it can capture on the automatic reading but I can still count them which I would anyway. I really like the product and love the changeable bell and diaphragm with a push of a button. Highly recommended and would encourage you to try it out. Comfortable to wear and not too heavy with an easy common battery to change.

Cons: Wish it would pick up those tachycardic babies with high respiratory rates but I can still count then out. Also the diaphragm can come off easily so don't catch it on anything. Not a problem unless your near incubators or cribs and I am 5' 2" so I have to reach over a lot of stuff normally. don't "ding" the product for this I really do like it very much.

Pros: Been using my new stethoscope a week and am very happy with it. I previously had the next level up in Littmans (4000 level) and i find this one more user friendly, I am very hard of hearing so a regular stethoscope is not even an option for me. I especially like the touch turn on. You touch the diaphragm of the stethoscope and it turns on! very cool!hopefully it will last longer than my 4000 level. only had it three years and the inner tubing must have worn out. We will see!

Pros: Very good noise cancelling function. The manual could use a little buffing about how to set preferences, but otherwise a very useful product. Note, you have to listen a about 10 seconds to be able to get a heart rate reading, and it is a little hard to see from across the bed, but it is useful nonetheless. Great stethescope!

Pros: Hear the faintest Lub Dubs all day and night long! It also comes with great Bell and Diaphragm frequency filters to keep you ears focused on the right sounds! Plus, I've found that thanks to the stethoscope's digital readout, if you do a short robot dance and make a few "beep" and "boop" sounds prior to examination, patients tend to be more relaxed during your auscultation procedures.

Cons: I would not recommend using this device in a bathtub or shower. However, using this device on the beach is okay, provided you do not enter the water.
