The second generation E-Scope® II Headphone has just been released. It is the perfect alternative for users with a hearing loss that utilize inner ear hearing aids. It features a convenient headphone set that fits over the ears and plugs into the control module which clips smartly onto the users belt or waistband (similar to a cell phone clip). It is intended for general clinical use, medical education, Telemedicine and paramedic use in ambulances and medical helicopters. It amplifies the heart, breath, bowel or korotkoff sounds without amplifying outside noise. The E-Scope® II has maximum amplitude or sound pressure level output of 120 dBa without distortion. Additionally, heart or lung sounds are amplified without appreciable amplification of room or background noise. This makes it much easier to hear a low, rumbling murmur or faint AI blows.
The new E-Scope® II Headphone Model is available with the optional Hand held PDA( Compac- IPAQ) interface to output a visual phonocardiogram. This can be played back and e-mailed to a colleague; a must for teaching. The E-Scope® II features a frequency switch for heart sounds (20-1000 Hz) and breath sounds (70-2000 Hz), a variable volume control (27dB @ 200 HZ peak output for both heart and lung sounds; Maximum output is 124 dB SPL), and has a 2.0 minute auto "off" feature.
Pros: This is such a wonderful scope. I am on my second scope and both have been amazing. I am hearing impaired and this scope allows me to be the good nurse that I want to be. I have two different sets of hearing aids and this scope gives me the availablity to use DAI with one of my hearing aids. Thank You for such a wonderful product-- keep up the good work.
Cons: Headphones are easily broken. With my new model, they have come out with a new design so maybe this con is fixed....

Pros: I am in school for Medical Assistant and wear two hearing aides. The prices on the E Scope that I needed were a bit high. I was looking up on line and came across your site and was estactic to find the stethoscope I needed for less than anywhere else and I had it delivered in 2 days so was able to finish my clinical part of my externship on time. Thank you so much.
